Brewery Production Assistant

Full-Time | Hourly Position
We are currently hiring for a Brewery production Assistant! This is a hands-on position focused primarily on packaging and cellar work, with opportunities to learn and assist with additional aspects of the brewing process. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable with physical work, and interested in developing a broader understanding of brewery production.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist with canning line, kegging beer, labeling, packing, and preparing finished beer for distribution
Set up, operate, monitor, and clean packaging equipment--kegs and canning line
Clean and sanitize tanks, hoses, fittings, kegs, and other brewery equipment
Assist with some cellar work, including tank transfers, carbonation, dry hopping, yeast handling, and other production tasks under the direction of the brewing team
Monitor product quality during packaging and report any issues
Maintain accurate packaging and production records
Organize finished goods, packaging materials, and production supplies
Prepare orders and assist with loading and unloading deliveries
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment
Assist brewers with ingredient preparation, brewhouse cleanup, and other parts of the brewing process as training and experience progress
Help with general brewery maintenance and other production-related projects as needed
Qualifications
Brewery, beverage-production, manufacturing, or warehouse experience is helpful but not required
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a small team
Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail
Comfortable working in a production environment and with others
Ability to follow established safety, sanitation, and quality-control procedures
Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting equipment are a plus
Interest in craft beer and learning the brewing process
Forklift experience or certification is a plus, candidate will be trained accordingly
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
Ability to move or position kegs and other heavy brewery materials safely
Ability to stand, bend, climb, and perform tasks for extended periods
Ability to work around cleaning chemicals and production equipment while following required safety procedures
Schedule
This is a full-time hourly position. The regular schedule will primarily be during brewery production hours of 9-5, Monday through Friday, although occasionally early morning starts at 7 or 8am may be necessary
Compensation and Benefits
Starting pay: $20 - $25 per hour, based on experience
